I hope being organized and non-procrastinating (yes, I made that word up!) is not on my goal list for 2020. Otherwise, I’m off to a really bad start!!
Hello everyone and welcome to “Home is Where My Heart is”.
I am one of those people who loves lists. I love checking things off to feel like I’ve accomplished something. I even add things on the list after I’ve done them just so it seems I’ve accomplished even more. It’s a sickness really!!
I’m also one of those creative types that I have projects and ideas running through my head 24/7. Add my ADD to it and I’m constantly frustrated that things aren’t done RIGHT. NOW. By the time the LOML (Love Of My Life) has begun planning and over thinking each project, I’ve moved on to the next one. I’m telling you….it’s a sickness!
So let’s get to it.
MY GOALS FOR 2020
The end of October last year, this happened.
We are so excited for this beautiful girl to officially become a part of our crazy clan!!! And also, OH CRAP, I have a lot of stuff to do before the big day!!
Project goals around the house
Finish the barn doors in the master bedroom.
Change carpeted stairs to wood.
Restain all wood floors downstairs a darker color. The right side is the plywood floors we laid in the family room and the left is the oak floors that came with the house.
Lay patio with fire pit in backyard.
Personal goals before the wedding
Lose weight ~ 30lbs!! (I have a ‘before’ picture that I took donning leggings and a sports bra that I’m not going to show you ~ YOU’RE WELCOME!!)
Get in shape
Help bride and groom-to-be with anything they need!!
◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊
I’m having an anxiety attack just typing all these goals!! But I know I can do this!!
I’m looking forward to seeing what God has planned for me and my family in 2020. I love feeling like I’m starting with a clean slate and a new list that I can keep checking off things and feeling like I’ve accomplished something! See how I tied the beginning of this post to the end?? My tenth grade English teacher would be so proud!!
Speaking of teachers….you want to hear a funny story?
Daughter #2 came home at the beginning of her tenth grade year last September and told me she was freaked out! I asked why she was freaked out. She told me that her Science teacher went to school and church with her older brother (Son #3). I just laughed and laughed! The LOML pulled up a duet that said teacher and Son #3 sang in high school chorus in 2014.
Enjoy!!
What are your 2020 goals?
Happy Hump Day!!
Love y’all,
Linda
