Goodbye 2018!
Wow, this year flew by didn’t it?
I want to welcome all the new followers to my blog. I’m so happy you’re here and I hope you find some inspiration ~ either home projects, recipes, family time. Please consider filling your e-mail on the side of the page to get any new posts right into your e-mail. And thank you again for spending time with me. Let me know what you think in the comments.
I was looking through all the projects we did this past year and wanted to share them with you. Most of the projects are in our master bedroom. We did a complete over haul to make it a little bit more cozy and warm. Hope you like it! Just click on the links to see the complete post.
The first big project we completed was The Cozy Reading Nook in our master bedroom.
I painted over Daughter #1s tree mural and added a more grown up photo gallery wall.
I also changed up Daughter #2s Peacock Room.
After trying to move the LOML’s desk into a new room and having it fall apart in our hands, we transformed the pieces into a whole new desk for Son #1.
During the spring, we changed the colors of the exterior of the house.
We started working on the master bedroom again after I found a fireplace mantel at our friendly neighborhood ReStore.
The biggest impact of the master bedroom makeover was definitely the hardwood floors.
Next I painted all the oak bedroom furniture to lighten up the room.
We changed an old coffee table from country to a modern farmhouse table for Son #1.
I found a great (and cheap!) armoire at the ReStore that I transformed into a jewelry/storage cabinet.
We made a fun farmhouse sign with one of my favorite sayings for the cozy reading nook.
We finished our biggest project to date with the completion of our romantic master bedroom.
The last project we did was for Son #2. He moved out on his own last month so we bought some dining room chairs from the ReStore, painted them, recovered the seats and brought them over to their new home.
Hope you found some inspiration for 2019. I’ll be sharing future projects for the coming year soon.
Hope y’all have a safe New Year and a blessed start to 2019! I’ll be sharing our menu with you later on. We’re preparing lobster for the first time. I can’t wait!!
Love y’all,
Linda
