If you have followed my blog for any amount of time, you know that I LOVE looking at houses. I’m always on Zillow.com looking for a new home for our family that keeps getting smaller and smaller. We’re empty nesters with our last child in college visiting at breaks and weekends.
So we finally made the huge leap of putting our house on the market. You can see it here.
This is a very exciting and scary time for us!!
We’re praying that God will bless whoever decides to make this beautiful house their home. We have had such wonderful memories in this home.
When the house went on the market, we decided to go on a little beach vacation so our agent can show the house and have open house without us and our dogs in the way.
We decided to travel to Wilmington, NC, the city that our baby girl goes to college. We wanted to experience places that our daughter has been to and enjoyed.
The first place was Airlie Gardens.
It’s a beautiful place full of flowers and statues and creative pieces of art and so many large old trees covered in moss.
This was a bad week to make a trip to the beach. It’s been raining the whole time we’ve been here. When we were at the Airlie Gardens, it was misting. We planned to go to the beach the second day because the weather channel said it wouldn’t rain until later in the evening. NOPE!!!! It’s been grey, wet and windy so we headed to the mall for some lunch and shopping.
On our last full day in Wilmington, we ended up going to the movies to watch Fast X which is the most recent film of the Fast and Furious franchise. I’m a big fan even though it’s cheesy and the story lines can be shallow and there’s way too much skin shown but I love the emphasis they put on family. And it’s also amazing how many of the cast has died and come back. Only in Hollywood. And I can’t hear the song “See You Again” by Wiz Khalifa and featuring Charlie Puth without thinking of Paul Walker and his untimely death. Very sad!
Even though the weather wasn’t great for the beach, I did enjoy spending time with the LOML and my beautiful baby girl.
We had some traffic seeing the house but no offers yet. Praying for the perfect family and the perfect price.
Love y’all,
Linda
