We’ve been working on the upstairs hallway for awhile now.
We’ve completed some fun projects up there.
I painted all the doors to the bedrooms and hall bathroom black about a year ago. I also added some pretty bling.
I didn’t paint the bonus room double doors because I knew I wanted to do something special with them.
Since the hallway is getting a little classy I thought we should add a little class with the doors, too.
I kept my eyes open for some doors with character. The hard part about this job is I needed two of them.
But, as usual, we hit pay dirt on one of a thousand trips to our friendly neighborhood ReStore.
If you look hard, you can see a spring loaded pivot on the bottom of the left door. We believe the doors were used in a restaurant or something similar as swinging doors. The LOML had to remove it and replace it with a small piece of wood.
I painted the doors black.
I frosted the glass with Rustoleum Frosted Glass.
Do you remember my Laundry Room door?
Our great handyman spent the day Monday hanging them and cutting the door knob holes and inserting our fancy crystal door knobs.
I love our new doors. They add such character to the hallway.
You can also see the new sconces we bought at Lowes Home Improvement.
I had to figure out what to hang on the walls on either side of the sconces. Because the photo gallery walls are so busy, I didn’t want to make these walls busy and lose the sconces in all the busyness.
I found these cute frames at Hobby Lobby a few weeks ago. I printed out preschool pictures of all the kids for a little cuteness!
Aren’t they great??!! I love them!
Now let’s enjoy the almost finished new hallway with the new pretty french doors shall we…
Pretty new bling for the new doors.
The new doors even look pretty from the foyer downstairs.
Now as you browse these pretty pictures, divert your eyes away from the gross carpet PLEASE!
Our next and hopefully last project in the upstairs hallway will be to pull up the gross carpet and lay down dark stained wood floors.
Some before & afters for your viewing enjoyment!
When I walk through the new hallway, I feel like I’m walking through an extravagant hotel.
I love it!!
Hope y’all are having a great Monday!!
