There are days when I wish my home looked like the magazine perfect pictures I see all through blogland!
For the last twenty five years, I have had either babies/toddlers, messy teenagers, or puppies who are in the process of being house trained. That being said, I have always had makeshift diaper-changing areas, toys, books, back packs, strewn clothing, a dog crate in the middle of the family room, and now pee pads all over the house for the new puppy.
I can’t help but ask,
“Will my house ever look pretty again?”
The following pictures make me proud and ashamed all at the same time. You’ll understand when you see how blatantly honest and open I’m being

For one of the LOML’s birthdays, I did a “While You Were Out” and completely redid a bedroom to make as his office. It didn’t last very long! We decided to adopt our two daughters so we moved two of our boys into this room. I don’t have a before but this is how good the office looked.

To organize all the shoes for eight people, I bought these metal crates. Each person per one crate.

I wouldn’t trade one dirty diaper, one pair of stinky dirty socks, one misplaced pair of shoes, one pile of dog poop and a huge dust bunny for a clean house in a million years. Every one of these things comes with giggles, and story times, and a game of tag or hide-n-seek and a lick from a sweet and loving puppy and so many more wonderful memories!
Thank you for letting me be…..ME!
Enjoy your weekend!
Love y’all,
Linda
