HAPPY SEPTEMBER EVERYBODY!!!
Our Daughter #1 just turned 18 years old!!!!! Where has the time gone??!!
We met our beautiful daughter when she was two years old.
For a surprise birthday gift we revamped her bedroom a little bit while she was at work. I love revamping rooms ~ the new, the clean, the fresh, the pretty! Here is the before:
The first step was to empty the whole room.
We cleaned and vacuumed everything. I’m not gonna tell y’all how much hair I vacuumed up from under her bed!!! YUCK!!
The LOML took apart the old twin bed and assembled the new full-size bed.
The old comforters and shams were given to me when we decided to adopt the girls 16 years ago! I think it’s about time to change it up a bit, don’t you think?
Daughter #1 really enjoys her French classes. She just graduated from high school and she took French 1 through 3 and loved it! So I thought it would be fun to bring a little Paris into her room.
I found the cute comforter set from Overstock.com.
I bought gray sheets from mypillow.com. They were having a half off sale!! I love a good deal! And they are a great quality sheet.
I bought the cute black Eiffel Tower figurine at Hobby Lobby as well as the large Paris picture.
I moved the desk in front of the window and I replaced the flowered curtains with a twin comforter that matches the new full size comforter on the bed.
Daughter #2 helped me clean up the bulletin board.
I organized her closet. I think I got the baskets at Pottery Barn sixteen years ago!!
How about some before & afters!
And a few more pics.
Here is Daughter #1s response to seeing her new Parisian bedroom for the first time!
I’m so glad she loved it! It was fun doing it for her.
Any plans for the Labor Day weekend? Our family is going up the mountain for some hiking and family time. Here in NC the weather is beginning to feel like Fall!!!
Have a great long weekend!
Love y’all,
Linda
J’aime bien ce chambre! You did a beautiful job. My daughter is also a Paris fan. Her room used to be that exact pink. She recently went with a lighter pink, but it’s still screams Paris from every corner. 🙂 And your daughter’s reaction was precious.
God bless!
Thank you so much!!
