The LOML (The Love of My Life) has dreamed of having a sunroom for as long as we’ve lived in NC.
Our old neighbors are having a screened porch built and it’s costing them upwards of $30,000! Does anyone have $30,000 I could borrow? I can pay you back as soon as I win the lottery or the guy with the big check and balloons comes calling 😉
Well, we lucked out when we found our new house. It comes with a screened porch!!!!!! YEAH!!!
Because we’re so excited about having this beautiful new outdoor room, I wanted it to be one of the first rooms I decorate and make it a comfortable and peaceful space.
I bought two swivel chairs from Wayfair.com with blue cushions. They were very easy to assemble. We’ve had some cooler mornings lately so we’ve enjoyed rocking and talking and just listening to the crickets. It is so calming!!
We bought a porch swing with a blue cushion from Wayfair.com as well as the cute “Life is better on the porch” pillow.
I found a pretty baker’s rack on Amazon.com to display some greenery and my birdhouse collection.
A beautiful inside/outside carpet adds coziness and a touch of color. I love this one I found on Amazon.com.
You always need a side table for your coffee or a book or some pretty flowers. It came as a set of two and the other one I showed you on our front porch. I got them both from Amazon.com. The beautiful blue faux flowers that I bought on Amazon scared me when I opened the package but when I opened it and spread out the flowers, they ended up looking beautiful!
We hung outside twinkle lights that resemble the stars. It leaves a beautiful warm hue in the space as you sit and relax in the evenings.
I painted a plastic orange planter blue to match the rest of the room. I bought the faux plant at Carolina Pottery. I love that place!!!
I also painted two planter wall hangings blue and bought some faux greenery on Amazon.
This pretty picture is one of the first things I bought before we moved into the house and I pictured it right here in the screened porch. I also found it on Amazon.
It was fun decorating my very first screened porch!! We’re loving spending time in this space. The puppies are loving it more than we are!!
