Hey Everybody!
Thanks for coming to visit!
I’m having a lot of fun writing every day during the month of February using a list of prompts from The Sway blog.
I thought it would be a good way for all my new followers to learn a little bit about me and my blog.
The prompt for today is
“Tell us about your favorite room in your house.”
I don’t know if it’s my personality or the fact that I love to shake things up when it comes to my home but my favorite room in my house is the newest renovated room….my master bedroom.
We just finished ripping up the old carpet and laying engineered bamboo flooring, building a reading nook, building a faux fireplace from a ReStore mantel that I found, painting furniture, buying a new king-size bed, buying all new bedding and carpets, and revamping an old armoire/entertainment center into a jewelry cabinet.

Some of the reasons my master bedroom is my favorite room in my house:
- It’s huge! We’ve been in our house for 18 years and the whole time we’ve lived here, I have no idea what to do with all the space in my bedroom so half of the room looked like a storage room.
- It’s beautiful! It’s all light neutral colors with a touch of green so it always cheers me up when I’m in there.
- It’s cozy! There are little areas around the room ~ the bed, the reading nook, my desk, a reading corner, and a television viewing area. I love when the kids come in and everybody has a place to get comfy and watch a family movie. Love it!!
Every room I design, I want to absolutely love it when it’s completed. I want each room to look like the people who live in the room. I want each of them to love their room and feel comfortable in it.
What’s your favorite room in your house and why? Let me know in the comments. Also, if you’d like to receive my posts directly into your e-mail as soon as I post it, just fill in your e-mail on the right side of this page. Thanks!
Tomorrow’s prompt is “Describe your ideal friend. Do you live up to the description in your friendships?” This one is easy. Come back and see.
Hope you enjoyed your weekend!
Love y’all,
Linda
