Hey Sweet Friends!
Yesterday, I took a trip to Hobby Lobby with my dear friend Mrs. H. She’s the one who has the gift of shopping and numbers. She knows how much everything costs everywhere. I don’t know how she does it but when I want to buy something she can tell me if it’s cheaper somewhere else. She’s amazing!!
An interesting fact: Mrs. H and I went to Hobby Lobby exactly one year ago and I blogged about it here.
This trip Mrs. H was looking for good deals on Halloween/Fall decor. I bought some cute accessories to make an autumn wreath for my front door that I will post soon.
I also found this cute “Fall” sign.
I found these green candle holders in the fall section. I can use them all year round with all my other green accessories. For fall I put pumpkins on them. All their fall decor was 40% off. YEAH!!
I was looking for wall hangings to finish off my upstairs hallway. We’re getting close to finishing it up. You can read about our upstairs hallway project here.
I make my life difficult when I go shopping with a particular plan in mind. The dangerous thing about going shopping for something you can picture perfectly in your head is that you can never find the exact thing. I had a picture of an old white window like the one I used in this project, but it had to be a particular size for the space. I couldn’t find exactly what I needed. Then Mrs. H suggested shutters. There was this cute white shutter but I didn’t like how the clips that hold the pictures were randomly placed. I think it’s the OCD in me.
Then I saw these black frames with beadboard. The clips that hold the pictures are more symmetrical. Do any of my OCD readers see what I see? Or I am crazy?? The wood is distressed and matches the hallway table I refinished and the new sconces we hung on either side of the double doors to the bonus room in our upstairs hallway. I’ll get to share soon about the sconces and the french doors we’re having hung next week. I can’t wait to see how they look!! These frames will be on either side of the french doors each with black and white pictures of our six kids. Can you picture it? I’ll share pictures soon, I promise!
I used my 40% off Hobby Lobby coupon to buy the black beadboard frames which were $18 down from $30. Now to find some black and white pictures of my kiddos.
Hobby Lobby has so many fun things to look at!!
Cool signs and sayings.
We found the sweetest burlap flowers.
Just imagine those cuties sitting in one of these beautiful colorful vases.
Now whenever I go shopping I have to buy something for my girls.
Daughter #2 loves peacocks. Do you remember her peacock bedroom?
I found most of the cute things in her room at Hobby Lobby. Well, I continued with the craziness!
Daughter #1 loves butterflies and her room is pink.
The girls loved their gifts!
We had so much fun shopping, going to lunch, and talking, talking, talking!! I’m so thankful for Mrs. H and her friendship!
Any plans for the weekend? We have an ultimate frisbee tournament with Son #4. The weather is supposed to be beautiful here in NC.
Hope y’all have a great weekend and a happy Halloween.
Be safe!
Love y’all,
Linda
