Our family has never been on a cruise. Is that surprising? Since I’m the designated vacation planner, I reached out to a friend who is a travel agent. Her name is Mavis Davis and I have known her for many years. As a matter of fact, she came over to my house to watch my small children when I went into the hospital during labor with Son #3 and Son #4. She was a lifesaver!!
She found a cruise that would fit into Daughter #2’s Spring Break on Royal Caribbean’s Voyage of the Seas.
We were going to leave out of Port Canaveral, FL so I planned to visit my sister and her family and new grandbaby before leaving on the cruise.
Our family began our Spring Break in beautiful and balmy South Florida meeting this beautiful angel!!
I’m going to call her Princess A and she is just so yummy!!! We all enjoyed spoiling her with hugs and kisses and lots of formula. She is such an happy baby smiling at complete strangers who were in her face making funny baby noises. Daughter #2 said we went right into “parent mode.”
This is my big sister, otherwise known as Nana. She is so proud of her first beautiful grandbaby. And watching her oldest daughter become a mom for the first time and being a natural makes her so proud. Princess A is very blessed to be born into such a loving family. Watching my sister’s family with all the new changes ~ wedding, engagement, baby is so exciting!!
Here is Princess A’s beautiful mama. She looks great for not sleeping through the night for 4 months!! She’s such a great mom already!
Here’s the proud daddy, Princess A’s instructor for all things water and snow ~ ice skating, snow boarding, water skiing, etc.
My baby, Daughter #2, was quite intimidated by this bundle of joy. After some resistance, she held Princess A and fed her a bottle. She did a great job! We had a long discussion about what my daughter is to Princess A. We were googling because no one knew. They are first cousins, once removed.
The proud Great Uncle (the LOML) looks like he’s ready for his own grandbabies!!

Princess A was fighting sleep because she knew she was going to miss all the fun!!
We’re not used to having a baby around so we were ready for sleep so we headed to our hotel for the night. We’re planning on coming back tomorrow for some pool time and more cuddles.
