We’re on our way to “The Perfect Day” on Royal Caribbean’s CocoCay Island tomorrow so today was a fun day on the ship.
We slept in and skipped breakfast today because we had reservations for lunch at Giovanni’s Italian Restaurant.
We were served warm bread and oil and vinegar dip as soon as we were seated. I LOVE warm bread!!
Daughter #2 was way happier than she appears to be in this picture. We whip out our camera phone and my kids make this face. WHY????
After lunch, we spent some time on deck playing shuffleboard. I always thought shuffleboard was for the elderly so I never played (because I’m NOT old!!) but it was fun to play. When we first started playing and we were trying to figure out the rules, a woman that was sitting on deck near our game got up and explained how to play. Thank you very much!!
Our steward Suraj is always so friendly and kind. He made our stay very pleasant. We wanted for nothing! And his towel animals are amazing!!!
We had a late dinner time so while we were waiting, we went to the kids’ cabin. Some of us took naps and some of us got killed in Gin Rummy. I taught Daughter #2 how to play (I can’t believe I never taught her before) and she killed me 11 games to 5. I think she was cheating!!!!
We went to the Star Lounge and played a “Friends” trivia game. Because I’m a huge fan of Friends (I believe I’ve watched every season about 20 times!!) I was feeling good about acing this game. NOPE!!!!! We were given ten questions. The one thing I’m really bad at is names. I can tell you every word to every show but don’t ask me what guest stars’ names are on the show. I can’t tell you!!!! So I only got 6 out of ten. I felt like such a fan failure 🙁
Time for dinner!!
We got to have Italian for dinner after we just had it for lunch BUT can you ever have too much pasta??? Heck, no!!
Daniel, the wait manager, was so kind. He knew Son #4 is a vegetarian so he made him a special veggie plate and for Daughter #2, he made her favorite meal (along with the one she ordered) of spaghetti with butter and parmesan cheese. He was so sweet!!!!
We had Italian meatballs for an appetizer. YUMMY!!
After dinner, we went to a comedy show and the comedian was hilarious!!
Then we moved to another theater for “The Ice Odyssey” which were also amazing. The skating skills of the whole crew was amazing. It was a very small arena but that didn’t stop them from doing big things!! The costumes and stage decorations were beautiful!!
Right before we headed back to our cabins, of course, Daughter #2 had to have a midnight snack of pizza, then we headed to bed.
We’re so looking forward to “The Perfect Day” tomorrow. Come back soon and see what we did on the island!
Good night!!
Love y’all,
Linda
