Thank you to everyone who follows my journey through this fun thing called life! I hope you get inspired and can giggle a little bit at with me. I’m getting inspired to do some projects in our new home and I can’t wait to share them with you. Please come back when you have a free minute and hopefully you’ll enjoy what you read.
My family is on our very first cruise on Royal Caribbean’s Voyager of the Seas and we are having a blast. Yesterday we spent our Day at Sea playing games, watching games, and eating and eating and eating. I’m not losing weight on this trip!!
Today we’re spending the day in Cozumel, Mexico!
The LOML and I woke up early and went to the dining room for a delicious breakfast. Our table had a beautiful view!
When the kids got up and dressed, we headed off the boat. Our first stop was a souvenir shop so Daughter #2 could find a hat. She fell in love with this teal cowboy hat. I think it looks great on her!
We grabbed a taxi to head to downtown Cozumel. I saw these beautiful sayings painted on the walls that lined the streets.
“Too many people don’t live their dreams because they’re busy living their fears.”
“Success in life is not measured by what you do, but by the obstacles you overcome.”
The driver dropped us off across from the ocean on a street lined with shops and restaurants and beautiful statues.
We popped into a shop to look for some souvenirs. I got a couple of Cozumel t-shirts and a Christmas ornament. I always try to pick up an ornament from everywhere we travel. The LOML got a baseball hat. And I bought a cute little outfit for Princess A (my great niece). Daughter #2 got this pretty fan because it was very warm!
I hope this couple hasn’t been waiting too long for a table!!
We started getting hungry for lunch so we went to Pancho’s Backyard. It is a beautiful place connected to a little store. It reminded me of a Mexican Cracker Barrel!!
The legal drinking age in Mexico is 18 so Daughter #2 went wild and ordered a strawberry margarita.
Son #3 and Son #4 had beer,
the LOML had a mango margarita, and I enjoyed a banana margarita. We all enjoyed our drinks!!
The LOML had fish tacos,
I had shrimp and rice. It was delicious!!
We headed back to the ship after lunch for a cool down and a nap. Suraj outdid himself with the towel elephant!!
Dinner time! This was one of my favorite meals. It is a pulled pork enchilada and it was yummy!!!
The LOML had the sea bass. He really enjoyed it! When experienced cruise friends told us that the food is to die for…..THEY WERE NOT KIDDING!!!
Son #3 had steak. It looks so juicy!!
During dessert, the staff danced around the dining room to Macarena! I muted the music so I don’t get a copyright strike. It was so fun!
After our tummies were full, we headed outside for Outdoor Movie Night. We got to watch “Transformers” while laying on chaise lounges and listening to kids playing in the pool and hot tub. It was just great to be outside under the stars.
After the movie, we said good night to our kids and we all headed to our cabins for bed.
Tomorrow, we’re going to sleep in because we have a reservation at Giovanni’s Restaurant for lunch. Then we’ll have a day on the ship as we head over to “The Perfect Day” on CocoCay Island, Royal Caribbean’s own island. Can’t wait to share with y’all!!
Night Night!!
Love y’all,
Linda
