When I was first planning this trip to Disney World/Universal Studios and deciding what parks to do when, I thought Thursday would be a good “off” day. I knew the parks would be exhausting and we would need one day to just sleep in, take it easy and recharge for the next couple of days of more park fun.
By Tuesday night, we were dragging so we decided while eating dinner at Perkins that we would take today off.
What a great plan!!! We slept in and woke to torrential rain and thunderstorms. Thunderstorms were predicted for the whole week we were going to be in Orlando but the weather has been great until today. After a homemade breakfast, we had to give goodbye hugs to Son #2 and his sweet girlfriend as they headed home to NC and to work.
We sneaked in a jump in one of the seven pools on the property. It ended up a beautiful sunny morning.
We went back to our room for some lunch ~ sandwiches, chips, macaroni salad, fruit. Then we played some video games, worked on a puzzle, and took a nap.
When everyone was awake, showered and dressed we headed to dinner at Bahama Breeze.
I had a delicious lobster and shrimp pasta. YUMMY!! Great service from Andrea D.
The LOML had Ropa Vieja Tostones ( Crispy plantain bowls loaded with tender braised beef over yellow rice and our signature black beans).
Daughter #1 had the fish tacos. Looks yummy!
Tomorrow we’re headed to Animal Kingdom. Come back and see all the fun! If you’d like to receive my posts directly in your e-mail box, just fill in the subscription on the ride column and thanks in advance.
Love y’all,
Linda
