We are in San Diego, California for our sons’ 2023 USA Ultimate Club Championships starting tomorrow. We love watching this great team that Son #3 and Son #4 are on. A bunch of great guys and great athletes!
On our second day in San Diego, we explored a little bit. We drove through beautiful neighborhoods peppered with palm trees and bird-of-paradise. The Spanish architecture of the houses is prevalent with the orange tile roofs and the light pink stucco walls. Lots of stones instead of grass lawns. For a fast driver like me, the roads are fun to drive; very hilly and curvy.
We stopped for lunch at Best Pizza and Brew where we both had delicious meatball subs.
After lunch, we headed to Walmart where we bought things we needed for watching three games of frisbee tomorrow; soccer chairs, water bottles, a small cooler, coconut water, and snacks for the guys.
The time change must have really affected me because we went back to the hotel to put all our bags in our room, I laid down and was fast asleep! The LOML had a shorter nap than me so he ran out and picked up take-out for dinner. The long nap did not affect my ability to fall asleep for the night.
Short and sweet post! Day 3 will be full of frisbee shots. Come back to see all the fun!
