SOME BEFORE & AFTER PICTURES ~I love those!!

I LOVE before & after pictures!!!
Today, I have some for you, my devoted fans (or you people who accidentally tripped onto my blog!). I’m so happy you’re here 🙂
For the last few weeks, I have been planning and implementing my plans for my friend Miss T’s office space. A couple of days ago, I found out she was going out of town from Wednesday to Sunday.
I said “YEAH!! I love pressure!!!
So, since my sweet friend has been gone, me and some of my family have been

RECOVERING PILLOWS
DYING A COUCH SLIPCOVER
Wow!!! This was a huge project!!!! The couch slipcover had two pieces to it. The base and the cushion cover. Because the cushion cover was smaller, we started with that one. We were hoping if we bleached it, it would turn to a light pink (starting at dark red). HA! It turned ORANGE!
Oh this is BAD!!! Our next step….taking the color out didn’t work. How about we put color back in?? Because we have to go darker to cover the orange, how about purple? Everything else in the office is purple!!!
So we bought Tulip Permanent Fabric Dye
in purple of course! We used four packets in four gallons of water. We soaked the fabric while stirring for 15 minutes. Then stirred occasionally for another 45 minutes. When we took it out of the dye water, it looked a pretty color of deep purple. BUT when we rinsed, it turned this color……
POO-POO BROWN
AHHHHHHH!!
I’m not giving up…I bought more purple dye and tried again.
