It’s always hard for me to let go.
Habits, too skinny clothes, arguments, comfortable bras with holes in them, and my adult children!
Son #1 moved out a few years ago and that was sad enough. Now his younger brother Son #2 has moved out as well. Even though we still have four kids at home, the house still seems a little more empty.
He’s been slowly moving out a few items per day to make it a little easier on mama. But now he’s all moved into his new apartment and I’m so proud of him as he begins his life apart from us. Let go! Let go! Let go!
While he was furnishing his place, he was emptying our very cluttered garage with some old pieces that have made the rounds with each of my college boys at some point. We gave him an old round table that I painted blue but we had no chairs. So off to the ReStore we went.
I found a couple of heavy metal chairs that had seen better days for $15 each.
I took the ratty old seats off, spray painted with two coats of black and two coats of polyurethane.
I also ripped off the old seat covers with the assistance of Son #4.
We pulled out all these staples. OH MY ACHING FINGERS!
Sadly, I did not take an after picture of the chairs before we moved them into our son’s apartment so I asked him to take a picture of them in their new home.
I think he should be my professional photographer he did such a great job!
I always love a great makeover (and cheap!!).
Tomorrow I’ll be posting a wrap up of 2018, everything that we worked on this past year.
