THE FRONT PORCH ~ My very first front porch!

We are loving our new house!!

We’ve been in our new house for about 4 months and we have been busy ~ ordering from Amazon, meeting our new neighbors, continually unpacking the endless number of boxes, and still living our lives ~ birthday celebrations, date nights, breakfast dates with friends, time with Daughter #2 before she returns to school this month.

I’ve enjoyed decorating and furnishing the outside spaces of the house, the front porch and the screened porch in the back.

THE FRONT PORCH

I get excited seeing an empty space. It’s like an empty canvas where I get to draw a beautiful picture. To be honest, I can’t draw a stick figure!!

The first items I purchased for the front porch were these two swings from Amazon which I fell in love with.

They’re different from anything I’ve seen people in the neighborhood use on their porches. We hired a handyman to hang them from the rafters. They are very comfortable! I’ve gotten lots of compliments and the neighborhood kids enjoy swinging on them.

The pillow covers along with the faux blue flowers in the blue pot are both from Amazon. I love all the blue!!

The small table (a set of two) is also from Amazon. I used the other table in the screened porch at the back of the house.

I love our front door!! The large windows brighten up the inside of the house so much. We applied a mirror cling from Amazon to each of the three windows for privacy. It also keeps the temperature cooler inside the foyer. We replaced the doorbell with a Ring doorbell which we are enjoying a lot!! We are notified when a package is delivered or when someone is at the door. The blue Forsythia door wreath adds some beautiful color to the large window. I found it on Amazon. (American flag not included)
