We’re loving our new home!! We’ve been in it for about 8 months and we’re getting used to all the new and different things about this house. The house is more rural than our previous house so we must drive farther to get to places ~ family, grocery stores, Lowe’s Home Improvement, the LOML’s job.
One of the rooms I’ve enjoyed decorating is our master bedroom.
This room is A LOT smaller than our old master bedroom. I loved decorating our old bedroom by replacing the old carpet with vinyl flooring, building the faux fireplace, building the reading nook, moving the bed to another wall to create a whole new feeling, and so much more! It was a huge project and kept us busy for at least a year! We got to enjoy it for a few years before selling our house so someone else can enjoy it.
Our new bedroom is BRAND NEW so all I have to do so far is pick a color palette and go wild with the decor. And wild I went!!!!!

We placed the king size bed on the wall in between the two small windows. I bought a new comforter, blanket and sheets at Wayfair.
We moved the white bench that was in our foyer in our old house into the bedroom for storage and bought these cute throw pillow covers.
Above the bench, we added two shelves with hooks to fill the empty wall space on either side of the television.
If you remember the ReStore armoire that I bought and painted green for our old master bedroom, I painted it with blue chalk paint and will use it as jewelry storage.
We needed a laundry hamper but I didn’t want an ugly hamper in my bedroom so I had a brainstorm. I found a trash can storage unit on Amazon but I use it for laundry! And it’s blue! BAM!!! I love when an idea comes to fruition and I love it more in reality than when it’s running around in my head! It’s a great quality cabinet and it looks like it was meant for this space.
The flower pictures above the hamper add some blue beauty to the room. i found them in an area home store called The Perfect Piece found in Cary, NC. It’s a fun store to walk through and I always find something I love.
Our new master bedroom is cozy and comfortable and so pretty in blue.
Because we’re having company for the holidays, I’m putting pressure on myself to finish some more projects so keep an eye out for my next finished room.
