There is a bracket (1×3) under the shelf that is screwed into the wall. Then the LOML and I nailed the shelves into the bracket from the top.
This is what happened when I tried to put a nail too close to the edge. MY BAD!!
As the shelves are going up, I’m trying to organize all the “stuff” into pretty cannisters so y’all will think I’m just so awesomely organized and color coordinated!
On a trip to Target I found these babies…
I found these lovelies at Lowe’s Improvement
I’m thinking this bin will be for the many bags of chips!
These three baskets will be for boxed goods like rice, tuna helper, potatoes.
I bought these green beauties at The Container Store. The baskets ~ which I’m thinking of painting white ~ are from a baker’s rack that I had in my old kitchen. It stores our popcorn and Ramen Noodles so far.
I’m so excited to organize but we have to finish the shelves first. WE WILL WIN THIS WAR!!!
Have you ever done a project that just was not as easy as you thought it would be??

Hang in there… many years ago Jon and I redid my parents pantry not realizing the large job is was going to be! Can’t wait to see the finished project!
Thanks Katie! Great to see you and Jon on Pretty Hand Girl’s blog. Great job! ~Linda
