We are enjoying our Spring Break as we plan to go on our first family cruise with Royal Caribbean’s Voyage of the Seas. Because we are departing from Port Canaveral, Florida, we took a little detour before our cruise to visit my sister and her family and her brand new grandbaby Princess A in S. Florida.
Yesterday we got to spend time with my sister (Nana) and brother-in-law (Papa) and niece (Mama) and her husband (Dad) for a little while before going to check-in to our hotel.
We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Boca Raton, Florida last night and will stay tonight before we head to Orlando Airport to pick up Son #3 and Son #4 before heading to our hotel for the night. Then it will be
CRUISE DAY!!!
After a great night’s sleep, we headed back over to my sister’s house for a day of family time, lots of great food, laughter, and some time in the sun and swimming.
My brother-in-law, alias Papa, adores his granddaughter while he holds her in the pool and Mama and Nana look on. I love Mama’s hat!!
Beautiful Mama enjoying a little break while Nana and Papa spoil her daughter!!!
I can’t help but picture Mama as a baby 35 years ago swimming in her Nana’s (my mom) pool. Wow, does time fly in the blink of an eye!!
The weather has been beautiful while we’ve been here but Papa still had to turn on the pool heater to keep it comfortable for Princess A. It felt so good to dip my feet in the water.
Papa has been a great husband, a great brother-in-law, great host, and now he gets to put on another hat!
A GREAT GRANDFATHER!!
This is what Princess A would look like with blue and white hair!!
Now here are some throwback pictures to 1991!!
Here’s Papa holding Mama on the left and holding Princess A on the right.
Here’s Nana and Mama with Great Aunt Linda (me!) with my Son #1 on the left and us loving on Princess A on the right.
What 30+ years looks like. The memories we’ve made, the pounds we’ve put on, and the wisdom we’ve acquired!!
The cruise is getting closer and we’re getting very excited. Can’t wait to share it with you!!
Love y’all,
Linda
