WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU SAID “I LOVE YOU”?

Love is patient, love is kind.

It does not envy,

It does not boast, it is not proud.

It does not dishonor others,

It is not self-seeking,

It is not easily angered,

It keeps no record of wrongs.

Love does not delight in evil

But rejoices with the truth.

It always protects,

Always trusts, always hopes,

Always perseveres.

Love never fails.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8

Today’s prompt from The Sway is

WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU SAID “I LOVE YOU”?

Now I have to be completely honest with you guys….I say “I love you” too much. If that’s even a problem, I’m not sure!

I say I love you all. the. time.

I say it usually when I’m leaving or the person is leaving.

Love ya!!!

Now when I say “I really love you” it’s usually after the LOML and I fight or if I yelled at one of the kids for doing something wrong. I’ll let them (and me) calm down then I’ll talk to them and somewhere in the conversation I reaffirm how much I love them. It’s usually then that my eyes get teary and the other person rolls their eyes! But I know they know how much I mean it when I say it.

When you read 1 Corinthians 13, also called the Love chapter, you start holding up your love to what the chapter says and it sadly falls very short. But that is how God loves us. WOW!! Something that I will always try to reach is God’s kind of love, not mine.

Someone once told me to read the above passage but replace the word “LOVE” with your name.

Very convicting indeed!!

So to answer the question when did I last say “I love you”, it was 2 minutes ago to the LOML because he did something kind for me. That’s how he says “I love you.” The man has got a big servant’s heart!

When was the last time you said “I love you”?

Tomorrow’s prompt is “At what age should children be allowed to use social media, and how much parent involvement do they need?”

Have a great day!

Love y’all, (and I really mean it!!)
